About Us
Our Story
We began in a small kitchen in Northwest Portland, Oregon. After searching high and low for a chai that was truly spicy and naturally sweetened; to our dismay, all we found were 'sweet & sugary.' We decided to take it into our own hands and create a chai that truly felt unique, yet also honored it's origins.
What began as a hobby, eventually grew in into a passion. Through the years, the recipe has been perfected to become what it is today.

Our Goal
We aim to bring the traditional flavors of South Asia to the Portland Metro and beyond by offering a different taste than the common "sweet" chai found in the west. Inspired by the original inventors of chai, Wildwood offers a more true-to-form combination of herbs & spices, both beneficial to your mind as it is to your body.
Our Method
We begin the process by boiling ginger to extract flavor, then strain & combine it with a mixture of spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, pepper, and nutmeg. We then add tea, which blends the flavors together. Lastly, honey is added to naturally sweeten without inhibiting the combination of spices. The mixture of tea and spices produce a chai with a truly unique kick.
With these ingredients, we offer a refined sugar free, preservative free alternative to the daily cup of coffee that increases alertness, aids in digestion, improves the immune system, and boosts heart health.
